Wild Coast DIPA
West Coast IPA · Alc. 9% vol. 33cl

Wild Coast DIPA is our take on how a Double IPA might have tasted along the California coast in the carefree 80s — when the shorts were short and the hops were heavy.

Myth or not, the classic story goes that IPA was invented to survive the long sea journey from England to India, with extra hops and alcohol acting as natural preservatives. More malt means more sugar, which means more alcohol. And both alcohol and hops help keep things fresh. The tale isn’t entirely true, but it’s logical, a little romantic, and fun enough to stick around.

In the beer world — just like in math — we use prefixes. A Session IPA tones things down. A Double or Imperial IPA turns everything up.

With the prefix DIPA — Double India Pale Ale — we go all in: more malt for a higher ABV, more hops for a bolder bitterness. Wild Coast is a proper West Coast IPA, rooted in the American brewing culture that wasn’t afraid to crank things up. It’s bright, dry, bitter — and not shy with the tropical notes from the American hops.
